In April 2016 Five Finger Death Punch was accused by their record label Prospect Park of "shamelessly attempting to cash in before the anticipated downfall of their addicted bandmate [lead singer Ivan Moody]."

Moody has struggled with his battle against alcoholism and his fellow bandmates vehemently deny of ever trying to take advantage of him. "His issues are no secret and were recently and successfully addressed with the love and support of his family and bandmates in a rehabilitation facility," 5FDP said in a statement. "Never once did Prospect Park Management or Recordings support any efforts to get him sober, preferring the band continue making albums and touring."

Now according to TMZ, 5FDP has filed a lawsuit against their "sinking ship" record label and want a judge to free them from their contractual obligations and pay them $1 million in damages before Prospect Park drags them down with them.

5FDP is also set to join BMG's High Rise Records upon the expiration of their contract with Prospect Park.
