GET OUT! is your guide to getting off the couch and getting into some stuff OUTSIDE of your house. This week I have two picks. One wet and one packed with ACTION...stars.

1. The Head Of The Charles Regatta

For the past 41 years The Head Of The Charles Regatta has been the premier Fall event in Boston. Thousands of rowers from all over the world come to compete on the River Charles. While you're enjoying the action you can check out the vendors and gear demonstrations as well as enjoy food and beverages from all over the Boston area. It starts at 8am on Saturday and Sunday(10/23,24) and ends at 5, early enough to head into Boston for some trouble after the event. You can get a full schedule and parking/shuttle info here.

2. Super Megafest Comic Con

This event is always a nerderific time! Not only is it a collectors paradise but there are always fabulous guests!

This year you can ask MacGyver(Richard Dean Anderson) how to make a improvised floatation device out of duct tape and a cheese sandwich.

See a Karate Kid reunion between Daniel(Ralph Machio) and Kobra Kai's #1 anger management candidate Johnny(Billy Zabka)

Talk wrestling with the legendary Shawn Michaels.

But there are two words that really pump my nads for this years Super Megafest: Meat Loaf

Yes! He would do anything for love. But I'm sure autographs will cost you. It's not every week you get to meet Bob Paulson from Fight Club...woops...wasn't supposed to talk about that.

There are also costume contests, live music, and Kitt the car from Knightrider will be there!
