May The Fourth Be With You...Nerd

What we know now as "Star Wars Day" actually started out as a congratulatory message on May 4,1979 to newly elected UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher from her Conservative Party. They took out a full page add in the London Evening News that read "May the 4th be with you Maggie. Congratulations"
Somehow, some nerd got a hold of it along the way and by 2011 it was officially being celebrated as "Star Wars Day". It's kind of appropriate that the day's origins come from Britain since 390,127 people claimed "Jedi" as their religion in the 2001 census. This officially makes The United Kingdom Of Great Britain And Northern Ireland the nerdiest nation in the solar system.
Of course we all know there would be no Star Wars without Star Trek(and director Akira Kurosowa) Because Star Wars is fantasy, Star Trek is reality.
