I have believing for a man you've had a great start of the season obviously everybody wants to win but you've come out of the gate really strong what do you attribute that to because there's going to be a little bit of a learning curve. Yet there's Cephalon learning curve on the I feel like it's just a kid attributed to the great resources we have an armchair and it. Some help from. Jason guys like that's been really helpful form so I just attributed to that and also just didn't. Off to good start we got the right op approach that we're we're coming to the racetrack we're getting. There's some solid finishes which I absolutely tests wins here. Teachers are you thinking in your mind when you're in the race car. Just finished just as good in the end and then slowly come on are you thinking man I gotta get a they're trying to win with these stages now all the points out there. I mean it's off you know with my experience last year it was really helped me alive here. Haven't calmer presence in the race not as nervous you know on the grid just. He's being give me in shape and make it makes it feel really get. When I'm at the racetrack makes it. Feel more comfortable and feel like I'm very idea to do the job in the race car so that's another thing that's important this be an element. Feel like you're gonna give your 100% each week. What's the hardest thing he's asked to do so far. Well really it's Jimmy as a trainer Jamie on do is track performance and he's out he's been hired right past a helpless so. Janie kind of hasn't worked out schedule for each weekend. Any added do and I mean you feel like you guys but now they actually got it. Complete that work out so I've that a lot of swimming so I'd say just doing that Iran's main players. Pretty fast pace they power outage of that this. I wasn't used to that so you know it's it's get a discount that start doing that stuff. Well actually talking you're in the truck series you were doing the cold commuting from liberty now you're off campus through some online stuff how's that going. Let's go well I mean I finished. It's getting it's a little different I mean I've my schedule so much busier lives here that there's no way they've been out there. Especially. The working out all the things that the race team required so. Just get to be at the shop like guys. My name Tuesday together racetrack on Thursday and have a chance to kind of do my school work consequences. I kind of bring you back to reality a little bit based on the job you get to do for a living yeah I mean it's a yet to do the work and it doesn't. You know just because you're at the track doesn't mean that the school cause this effect. It's that's artist Boris is realizing that. I was getting pretty frustrated ago come weeks ago because we had acre project and you know I'm at the racetrack Thursday through Saturday and then the tragic story getting done so. I was down once I cannot realize how to balance sag get it done before I get to the track I think it works out better. Couple of upcoming tracks here we got Phoenix coming up in Mets a whole different animal unto itself you know it's a mile everybody calls the short track. And then a truly big track is an auto club speedway we think about racing at those two. I'm really excited for Phoenix. That's attracted. You know I haven't had the best luck on that we've led laps in this fast I think. Really comport of that race out of hostess of a lot of fun it's kind of like it planned to point out the sponsor. Our school and places cute so. I'm not really sure what to expect to get to audit. You can be the guy that starts that don't repay this police planned move to get there right yeah I kid I mean I don't know what to expect and is trying to. Trying to get there the next few weeks and and just do we did. And an off week are coming up as everybody else goes to Martinsville going to be fun stuff planned for the off week. I mean hopefully get to some relaxing time I mean trying to. You know we got a few things that we're doing which is great with exalt and we're gonna go out there and and talk to those guys are really excited to get them on the car in the next few weeks and just rated C in new paint scheme on the cards and that really really bright and I can't wait for that now. Here when you go to Texas and you won there and truck and done very well you gonna do a little barnstorming tour with the junior and maybe an Indy guy right. McCain at Phoenix international raceway continues to rain. Kevin Harvick comes and is quick all weekend that he's gonna win for the seventh time in at Phoenix international raceway. Did the the organizational tested Phoenix Kevin's always really good they're felt like he'd be the best for that task. So what did you think going in and what did you think coming out of that test. Going into it. You know thought we'd be competitive decision from his standpoint and we Connecticut's of their last three years. Attested to start out a way that we are wrong attitude we've struggled the first day and really about half the second hand we got going really unity in the second so. We learned a lot out there we look forward to going back and you know hopefully have another show Victoria and from the crew chiefs perspective. What kinds of things do you need to do well at Phoenix to be fast. The biggest things is having a car it turned toward. That's where we've seen so is it through three and four. And you know grown through the center core of the best in government he can do that you can kind of get off corner where they're problems so. You know even though we're fast don't feel like we're where we need the go a lot of things that were to ski known. Seems like everybody on there cars differ right now lets customers search and do what's right thrown. So overall you know we're just on to figure things out. Very many with the car of tomorrow and this was the third attempt with the new vehicle filled the car of tomorrow you'll get a Big Ten here this afternoon and tonight at Phoenix no one drivers' names. Pole sitter Jeff Gordon was only sixteen number one mile desert oval that was one of three tracks on the NASCAR circuit that he had never won not. Gordon was looking to change that that. Here in Phoenix in the closing laps the battle for the lead was hot and heavy. Between Gordon and Stewart bears racing going on for the top spot quite a while flat stick out Jeff Gordon picked up the top spot again. There in the end it was Jeff Gordon winning for the first time at Phoenix comes to the punch coming off turn four and double light kept short. Just first win of the here at his first win ever in the Nextel cup series at Phoenix international raceway the win marked the 76 career victory for Gordon. Tying the late great Dale Earnhardt hand he paid tribute on his victory lap but about the victory lap.
