We'll spotlight like features interviews and he and works. You're up to speed all year long and Americans feel. Todd. Joker Roni general manager furniture row racing. With the way that furniture row racing the 7018. Has worked with Joseph Gibbs racing over the last couple years everybody's has pretty much equal success with now Daniel Suarez coming into the fold. He's got to get up to speed in that nineteen cards and they're not gonna have somebody with Carl Edwards experience being able to contribute to the team in the same way do you. Did anticipate. That hurting your teams moving forward that somebody the caliber of Carl Edwards is an able to kind of lend his take on things. I don't think so I think and the only reason why I say that I mean Carl's grade if this stuff because it is not going to be there that gives us strong they have. Three unbelievable drivers. With tons of experience and there are the three cars enough. I think it's great opportunities. For Daniel I think you still have a lot of strength around them obviously and and and then we also have Eric over here with with Maarten and it's still very strong pull. Drivers that's for sure. What's what has it been like for Eric Jones and that 77 team kind of being built here over the last. You know. Half a year or so. For Eric Jones who's gonna go from full time extended these series competition now it is monster energy cup series competition. How is that progress then going over the last couple. You know they as far as for Erica can't speak a whole lot we tried to leave them alone. Flow rural while he was. Racine and then now of course threw him off fees and just trying to give him some space both our shop and in the business has been wide open there weren't a pretty good so far right now we've been very fortunate. Two to be able to. Tired to terrific guys I think that the team that will be. Seven is Eric's team is just the strong across TrueCrypt guys back. You know we need to get Chris and the and the guy just broke through together at a track testing we're actually gonna test at the end of the month and start working together. And that'll be really then the next step is in that come together and gel. You're one of two cup series teams that I know that's expanding as the other being fed JPG Doherty racing. To two full time team. There's a number better or cutting back and some that are going away from cup series competition entirely is this kind of an opportune time. When you win your financially on good footing today is to say we're gonna expand when others are saying we got a call with. Well another call it quits due has avoided. The first thing that comes to mind is the workhorse. Changes so I guess again appear come along and one to start the second teams. And everybody's very and there are right yes it is really hard to find people and that the first benefit that you get promised if you're expanding the ability to this. Used equipment and people and then just resources that are available. You don't want that to happen but that's on the benefits to the teams that are expanding and growing. It's. It's difficult to play is pretty tough right now partnerships are tough. Let it defeat you I think it is on an upward. Slopes. You know the NASCAR such a great values that it really is and some of the teams are enabled for it together because ultimately it comes down to performance and if you're not. Out front and fans position to win races and it and collect you know a number you need to collect from. Viewership this makes our DiFelice is still such an amazing. Maybe in business opportunity in NASCAR that's for sure. I believe Eric signed a one year deal with furniture row racing. What does the future hold for that 7070. Beyond 2017. Well after one year deal with an option and what you'll take it over come you'll see how this first year goes and make a decision later. So for the 77. A team that team will be we're working on. On the other plans include T-Mobile place for many years where we've been filled with just for one year. Sure yeah I know but this has been something that you've been asked perennially for years and years now. When you go to too when you want to expand how long has this move been in the works. Spent about an hour minus for a long time we do we actually ran two cars not deny first feel a little a couple of times. Back in the early days we ran. Two cars at some races and it was just so much do you feel when you are still struggling with the first card to get enough. Total level it takes to be able win races. It's really hard have a second car and tell that came at same time. For a lot of the reasons we just spoke about so our our goal is to really not worry about that we don't have to have a second team looked as the first came. Where we feel like you if operating well on. I give him competition that we need. To win races then and then more and then worry about a second team and then there's the other thing if things have to fall in place. You can force some. And that always do that Illinois the best way and in the case. 77 you know things have come together at the right time. And in the right place and they just made sense. Overture to get the second came out there. Well the performance has been pretty stellar here in recent years and I think it would be fun to watch to see how lawyer Jones. Works win when he joins the full full time we get to Daytona. Two really strong drivers two really strong teams I think maybe hopefully the future. We'll be even brighter for furniture row racing in 2017 and beyond hot or work for a trader. But it's still early the general manager for furniture row racing with drivers Martin Truex junior and now Eric Jones full time two car team. In the monster energy NASCAR cup series for a Friday January 13. This is pod tracks by motor racing network. I'm Brian Nelson in Concord, North Carolina.
