Throwback Thursday - The Dark Knight & Freddie Mercury

Of the release of what I believe and I think many people believe to be the greatest. Comic book the greatest superhero. Flat out one of the greatest movies ever and product and we'll know. What kind of peace and that's right Matty. The Dark Knight. The sequel to wildly successful. Game changing. Genre shifting. Batman begins the bat man reboot which came here is off the heels of the horror shows that Joseph Schumacher foisted upon. That fans comic book movies. And this messed up world of ours that sometimes some people just walked the walked. Know that nips no roller skating villains. No Arnold Schwarzenegger is mr. freeze everything was grounded in reality. People could wrap their heads in their hearts around. Three years later following Batman begins which is my favorite comic book movie. Out comes a movie that's getting reviews people couldn't even fathom. With a performance we were told that calls for it was. What is this word I don't think amusing it too loosely transcendent I never seen a character like he's like that now or ever and sadly. May be that way sometimes. Actors get into these roles it could have led to his demise because of courses we know. Heath Ledger was not around to enjoy the appreciation we all had for his performance and of course to posthumously except. It was it posthumously had to accept the Oscars you. Powell doesn't I was incredible is exactly ten years old it gets better. Mike with a lot of the greatest moves have told you before first time I saw Fargo first time I saw a bunch of other movies that thought. Don't get the height and of course this wasn't Batman begins so. I sort of held my favorite comic book and favorite Batman movie against. It's different this too much morality in this one there's a lot of a lot of questions as a lot of weight to this amateur feel about it. Upon second third fourth fifth tenth now twentieth re watching. This movie is flat out incredible. You just depress me. Because I went inside this at the Norwalk aquarium in Norwalk Connecticut they're huge heated air huge. You know that's where Nicholas IMAX screens like that I where it goes at curves up in your like almost it's like a planetarium almost as huge screens. And you're sitting so it was an unbelievable experience agree standing on the roof that building actually got kind of vertigo at all because super huge. And I feels like it was a a year ago to parts that were shot IMAX yes we are what makes like seventy millimeter our Imus I believe. It's incredible shot the music is amazing the visuals outstanding the action sequences unparalleled and Christian Bale is so great and to think. That Jack Nicholson up to that point given what was considered the greatest performance by an actor as a villain and comic book movie. As the same care to the Heath Ledger would be. And that Heath Ledger blew him away. Blew everyone away yet to a point now where you think back sit Nicholson's. Joker. Cool interpretation but it's kind of a joke. Right yeah it is at its worst cartooning it's fun was not darkness he took on any muscle archive this movie so good to how problem that's just it is not a problem other Maggie Gyllenhaal fashion so you can look past it because there and parts of it. Wait you he does that he's just so like the whole you know dupers language yeah I always ask supermodel the world and I had a radar her is child love Laguna I would kill me better Batman begins just bolster the same character as Katie Holmes yeah. That show that she's. Yet they didn't like her I didn't like her performance of their own somebody would better jobs problem was. Just to me many Christian Bale. Is about as Hanson is a leading man may not to mention what a nominal factories that though like sad puppy dog face music that seemed to dinner parties. He's simply two or facing.
