Hello everybody welcome to another edition of NASCAR live Mike Bagley and the motor racing network through here we duke. Head to clear them. It over some breaking news that broke loose earlier today joining me MRN's would behave. And we're talking about these surprise news that according to an online report from foxsports.com. And was justified. By aid to press conference announcement from Joseph Gibbs racing that Carl Edwards stepping out of the number nineteen toyotas for Joseph Gibbs racing for 2017. Yeah eyes wow everybody was blown away you and I both heard some rumors late in the year that. A bigger name might be calling it quits or hanging it up but you got to take those things with a grain of salt and then when it finally. It's in the face like this like you did today it really kind of makes you sit back and wonder why Dale Earnhardt junior's tweeting out about it thing interesting about Edwards. I can see him being lured back into the right situation. Although drivers retiring to vote early doesn't surprise. And then all fingers go back to that and they point towards that. Heck of a hit he took at homestead at the end of the season last year. Now the speculation machine has been wide open today and it we've heard everything from he's leaving to go to the trump administration to go on to dodge to go to the TV Booth to go to far. Well there have been two releases since then from fox and NBC USA today has been on this part of the story saying. Neither of those networks he will be working for the women who make your doing TV so that part of the earliest and want. But we will get further clarification. Beginning tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock eastern time that's when Joseph Gibbs racing will hold two press conferences and you hear those press conference is right here. On motor racing network in your opinion what what is the Carl edwards' legacy. I think he's one of the of the top drivers who's who's been behind the wheel he's narrowly missed a championship twice. Let's not forget Tony Stewart didn't necessarily. Out point him when he won the last title that he got. He tied him he won it on the tiebreaker. This this last win at homestead Carl Edwards probably was the best of the for lack of a better phrase final fours there get swept up in Iraq with Joel Modano and loses another shot at the championship does that factor into or not we don't know we'll find out more tomorrow but. At Las Vegas for example during champions week there was no indication that he was a guy on the fans thinking about am I gonna do this or my gonna do that it was all. Thank you for joining us on this week's edition of NASCAR live you know it's a lot of folks out there the celebrities. And the lives that they live starts. In this sport that we covered talk about each and every week whether it's Dale Earnhardt junior whether it's a Jimmie Johnson at or Brad Kozlowski are surely got out. They're celebrities do you well there are celebrities. That like our celebrities when he came joins us now to talk. More about that it seems like every weekend we see a celebrity from one facet of entertainment or another what it. Yeah whether they're promoting a movie and being the grand Marshal and a tracker doing a national at the new name. One big place to see a lot of them is that the champion's banquet in Las Vegas every year this year no exceptions being with the headline musical act there. With the police formally as most people know known as solo career. He did a message in a bottle and then a new songs are on office album 57 and ninth just came out and it was outstanding. But I wonder if chat with a for a little bit and ask him if he's had an opportunity. To beat to a race himself. To go on the move into a NASCAR race in my life and I drive very slowly. But I have a you so much you album. Which is about driving. Really fast. And so NASCAR put it was a very appropriate so for the event so is it yet. I'm most curious about you sitting soon. From Minnesota read about Jimmie Johnson Hermanson who won this thing. So here Alex board collects both smooth and so I'm here I'm here out of curiosity isn't. There's still. Love the sport there. Have you met any of the driver Jeff I have not oh complete novice in I think. Goods. Open to make some friends smoothness of singing. Maybe after this year might actually go to a race on the ice on life is a noisy they get is losing the I've been a Formula One and that's really noisy so. Yeah how Michael may be one of the drivers take you for a ride around that's pretty spectacular. OK in my violate your slow rule is my violin a lot of things yeah. They don't know how to commodity he really was curious you know he was teasing a little bit there he really is curious to meet some of the guys to get the moment and find a little more about the sport as often happens. Bless his heart violating the slower clock staying up all the whale suck at it you have maybe that's right. Also Luke Wilson was there he's the actor than a lot of folks know from. Old school legally blonde movies like that one of my favorite his family stone he's got a new and coming out and animated movie called. Rocked all of that out right now but he's got a little more involvement in the sport and being as he actually drove the pace car at Sonoma last year I started off asking him about. I mean it was unbelievable what they're really they're really cool thing was I got to do a hot lap where it. Jimmie Johnson and it's one of those things night. You know you grow up and you think like your good driver you have friends really have a great driver you know because they speeder around town let. It was really did them one of the most incredible things I've ever done just. It was one of those things where like those guys really you realize what great athletes fail mark. Yeah they're just they're up there was no basketball players and football players just. The hand in this beats it in the woods hit it. Pretty much blew my mind a lot of people say no they're not they just sit there and turn left out I mean I wasn't one of those people but this certainly made me. More involved believer how incredible. You really don't get the feel of a baggy and you know this until you get in the car with one of those guys. Are her the first time I rode and ride along it was with Ted musgrave years ago. He launched off sell their road and I thought OK well I'm dead because there's no way he can turn going this fast to get out on the track it. If it's something else again when you're inside the call. My first experience was with Stacy Compton in the truck at Richmond he went possible pit road off that we go plowing into the grandstands and I want it's like take it easy and yeah some for the rest of the way up that's exactly what I thought through it really couldn. Here people react you don't get to do that very often. And then of course you talk about celebrities got a big celebrity gonna be singing the National Anthem for the Daytona 500 Jordan sparks. We'll get us going for the great American race what we appreciate the time coming up on NASCAR live. We'll go face to face with NASCAR X thirty series driver Blake cook and later Kyle Larson will join us. This is NASCAR live on the motor racing network the voice of NASCAR. Here's NASCAR live. Now back to Mike Bagley. Welcome back to NASCAR live. And you all want to win when he came to talk about celebrities a moment ago let's talk about. A neighbor of the NASCAR X thirty series of woody and that is Blake cook lake cook put on a performance last year that opened a lot of eyes especially by making it into the chase. And it's really one of my favorite stories of a whole year you're not talked about this before. But here's a guy who's muddling along with different teams and trying to make his way and trying to get in some good equipment and see what he can do to really prove himself. He has lethal Torres a sponsor and after a time the owner of that company says you know what if I'm gonna spend all this money on sponsoring a race car I might as well own the team sort of bought call it racing starting last year there just a year away from hiring their very first employee. They go through the whole year make the chase to make it to round two. And Moore really the Cinderella story of the whole season and I asked him if after all that has settled down a little bit he still kind of pinching himself. Incredible you know I remember to sit in on that colleagues back patio by a fire in talking he's like the Dallas or anything else think okay. And is likely that proved it there on the spine and we aspire Roland the white and always has to approve broad court. Absolutely. And Lisa loves. The racing programs though. But it's cool people last in my favorite memory from last year and I was get down to just shown up at Daytona defeated number eleven lethal Chevy. Unload off the truck seen at all but togetherness just a big deal for to just come to life has all the hard work begin Nazis and and then of course just making that chases big deal to. Absolutely what does that put more expectations. Inside you for this year I mean everybody looks that your team now on things while they're an up and comer but in your mind does this mean. May we not only have to do that we need to be a little bit better and we can't. The only thing making the chase and had insects such as successfully year. Did to me was give me more confidence really just done yeah before lash I never ran towards the front Enola average start is always about winning average finished above Tony. On this year you know my average start is like well like that made the final round on Philly almost every weekend. And so what lash judicious scheming atomic confidence in my team in my ability. And just knowing that I have lethal to their protection behind me and Mac college behind me that's what you really need to succeed in this sport. In I have that in in rushing game with confidence in my ability stick together and up front try to win this year. And another thing you need to have some success is a good crew chief and not just a guy who knows his stuff but a guy. You click with Chris rice as your guy and you said from day one this is who I wanna. Who want one on behalf at the guy wanna have a tough market box. What is it about him I mean he when we talk to me so much Bonnie doesn't use a lot of jargon when he speaks and he likes a good laugh I mean. That's gotta say you would ease in terms of just how is personalities. Yeah I mean there's there's a lot of things about Chris that I love and things that I was looking now before when we are this team off topic man and who's in Iran it. In instantly if not a Chris writes for one a Jonas currents of the thirteen qualified secular list and you can put a fast racecar on a track. In everything looks so ditzy pays attention to detail. But also how we just treats the guests at the racetrack the sponsors. He knows how to treat people Welling is the business of the sport in its top is hard to finds Mickey you all than acting Chris rice is the total package. In another thing is Mary I love how honest mistress is to me if I'm not doing something is is any team he tells me. On the respectively tells me in in you know I take it we go over and like I work on those areas and I get better. And he knows that work harder and any other driver to get better to step it takes them to keep pushing you look at other sports in the coaches are so hard on their athletes. And now we look and ask her hair really DC record achieved you know being hard on the driver but I really appreciate that about Crist has he has. You know my the best intentions for me he was steamy weaning get better and in and that's what we're gonna do. Speaking your relationships. You and your wife have two kids you're just getting through the holiday season you're telling me. Earlier you're getting a little stir crazy now to get back to racing how cool is that to have that holiday time a where a lot of folks don't get it in their professions to. I mean I know you have a lot going on in the background all the time but with two kids to be looked at the holiday time with the family just hang out. Yeah it's think three nick especially. Palm Beach, Florida. So after homes that we stayed down there through Thanksgiving. In gets spent a lot of time with failing in Florida. In income backup Q a North Carolina and just hang out with failing in in theological stuff and then we went back on a Fuller for Chris Smith. And now and now I'm ready to get very striking. But you have people asking like our youth you know are you enjoying your time off in a Mike Nolan why would I want a break from racing we know why would I want a break from driving erased dark. Because you know I'm looking. You know I don't not to be at the shop ball all week long ar get to spend time in the female all week every week you know in with the X any skier the miniseries scheduled. You know I'm gone for one night a week so. It's a pretty good schedule and that's why that's another reason I love the X eighty threes that much. What's the coolest thing or most fun of it you've been able to do in this offseason whether just by yourself for with the family. May end up I was invited to get the relief filters summit awards and now did you win one. Unknown. Now there's a lot of other people that we're for lethal to that sold a lot more lethal to the idea knack colleague. Flu out over 250 of his employees through that lean if Bahamas. Unpaid for their whole trip even cash paid for other programs all inclusive. Grenade out a convention center is had a black tie event to reward all hard working leaflets employees. Then he has in his company and I had to be a part of that in those very special fantastic. Speed weeks right around the corner UMB you mentioned being eager to get back behind the wheel last year at Daytona a ninth and eleventh place run for you to. Give people a sense of of what it's like in that cockpit for a couple of hours on on a Saturday. Just playing chess and a 180 miles an hour. Yeah I mean it's it's intense that's for sure you know I'm I'm from the start and every starter working hard on it watching videos and insinuation and you know I'm just trying to get a head start on every other driver out there. Because if the utilize all the resources you have to be better. But they'll want you really when you get this unit just you led on the race them actually when he gets are packed him like. I keep their practice my first laugh at Daytona auto wide open around now plays that the new rules package you have no idea what to expect that she edited it. Absolutely it's it's a lot of fun to watch him for folks who haven't seen it menace and a quite the experience from from your view for sure new rules for Tony seventeen say cup guys. With more than five years of experience can only race and expect to be series would you. Five times or less and none of those in the chase you like that rule. Let me really doesn't matter what I like it's all about with the fans liked him at the fans wanna see you know obviously the fans have. Raise their voices in in NASCAR's reacting to it soon. Honestly when ever we can do to make the fans happy I'm good with. Most of the time when I talk to drivers they say bring them all we wanna race against the best that's how we get better. Other people think well they're stealing some your thunder I guess I can see both sides of it but I imagine you probably like to mix it up with them don't care. Mean it doesn't mat you know it doesn't matter to me honestly you know. No matter who isn't from a mile past them. In India you can learn from us from some of the cup guys are funny how they race and what they do but there's a lot of ex community guys that are really really good to. But I think down the standalone event through that I love like Allen gone Iowa. And all of go to Kentucky where it's a standalone of their casino every single person. I'm in the campground in the stands and grandstands is there this year race and I just think that's extra special and very cool fantastic. Several your competitor from last year or moving up to what's now going to be the monster energy NASCAR cup series. As some fan favorites get closer and closer to the in their careers everyone's talking about the young up and coming guys you're certainly one of those coming up your performance last year. But can you describe how challenging it is I'm assuming you would one day wanna drive a cup car but how challenging it is to make it there these days. Yes extremely difficult you know everybody that's in. Monster energy cup series is. Is has worked very hard has been in the right place the right time in preformed on the racetrack and especially if they earned it in a great opportunity. So you gotta respect anybody that is is an even on up in it for me more I wanna go up. It is totally at the Nat Colley and stick with Mac Alec whatever you want to do is known in India whatever lethal to Austin is on an idea of Miami extremely happy colleague calling gracing. And and I have a gold and we nixed any series races in a championship in until I meet those goals I'm not looking any further ahead. Well good luck in 2017 and thanks for your time look for to see you right back on the racetracks pay Vicki asked for have Meehan and everybody from lethal to listening. I'm thinking as part so a lot of optimism there and with good reason Mike you can you can just hear in his voice. How enthusiastic and encouraged and inspired he is to move this ball forward. Can't wait to see what 2017 is gonna look like for colleague racing and Blake cook great people. They've got a great opportunity to go back to back making the chase. In a NASCAR X but he series what are appreciate the time coming up on NASCAR live. Ricky steadfast juniors competing in this year's chili bowl we'll talk with him next and later how are some stops by. Or less batteries are proven to have the most extreme conditions there just to start and a 104 degree heat or temperatures of forty below. This is NASCAR live on the motor racing network the voice of NASCAR. Is NASCAR live now back to Mike Bagley. Welcome back to NASCAR live earlier today what are racing networks Tyler Burnett had a chance to sit down to speak with Ricky stand how's junior. Topics were buried including the upcoming season and at the chili bowl which happens this week Ricky how warrior. Men have done wonderful. But the shop this is much Becky and then. You know public. The let me help we'll let good equipment together so. Every year relics and everything out there read powder coated read and so start the year looking freshen. I know let me help them build all that and input that back together but they will let you work on the card anymore so. I do what I can and and having fun with his dad before at a chili bowl. Yes all your tweet about this aura of the garage the morale. What's the feeling like you're Rouse generation are now. Never really. In. Everybody that we Adam in the positions. You know run and run in different departments send different groups of people and you know the engineering that the crew chiefs I mean everything that's elected is yelling really well for. You know so at the last minute changes that we made. The off season that the people around. And you know I think it that does belong like everybody. You know for the most part. You know a bomb that electric sheep get switched out you know nick and really appalled that a great job but. He's he's our strongest engineer that we adhere air crash in lay out you know we still likened. And so they wanted to put him in charge of all engineers and you know it's a rolled nick embraced in. That hey if you think it's gonna make our company run better than. That's well that's what I'll do well on it because you know that people that we haven't late here. In charge to different departments wanna see the company succeed again and bill win races and let it struck. And be in contention and be talked about so. I think everybody and they embraced the role of hated the way. I need to do this is what I'm gonna do it. You know and same goes her for me is if they need me your shot or. I need me to do you know different saying than that I'm ready for so everything go longer shout whistle. Since we're on the topic and we'll talk about the chili bowl here in the second punt. Jack told us in Vegas that you guys now all moved to two cars with Trevor Maine and of course yourself do you think that is an advantage heading into this year. Knowing that. You know the focus is solely on those two cars. Well I guess now I think you know like you said the end had been that the focus on the two cars is is night. Went they are being in laid throughout our cars and throughout the leader cars that we rotate through. Those that processes quicker. You know if you're trying to get at her for streaking you've got to sir Alex he came. You know the information on the weekend. About the ideas off each other. That'll be a little bit you know you'll you'll have many big to get feedback throughout. You know they end and all the experience Greg Edwards was ninth. But you know I think we've been embraced that it's gonna be cute card here Trevor called this. All easily talked about it. You know we're both ready to go it. You know that desperate that back in the day when it was just him and I readily accept any serious so. You know we're we're ready. Think he's still fairly confident that we'll let they have a six payment. We are really out there and you know so we have a seventeen. Do you think the resource is will be stronger because you and you have three cars and might have been spread a little too then and now it's gonna kind of home back in onto cars now. Definitely do you know I think the sponsorship side being its first real art cars like you're stuck. You know I think where you can really get on sponsorship on both sides our partners her. You know also that we have dear us and Larry in session on seventeen again you know that's an all their third study being. You know and and working on a few more that. It potentially. Grow and to some good steps they'll. You know we're we're excited and you know terror to have all of our. You know resource is not only time and effort at people but also. The money that government and the directed at chief card it will be nice. To finish the NASCAR side of it you know you got a tweet yesterday about the Atlanta Motor Speedway announcing their re paving their track following the march race this year. Twenty years of Wear and hair which some say it adds a lot of character and it was the second oldest track on the circuit your tweet just simply said not get it. I'm sure you know apart a load Mkapa I know I'm sure are not alone in saying Napa but why do drivers don't like repay its. Well look at it becomes one lane and an art the past. You know when we go to racetrack. You know some other racetracks there are giving. You know wider quicker. You know we let test Michigan it's super narrow and it's still super Arab compared the old machine and I got. Yeah I can they came in before they've really started repay the racetrack. And yeah I got rattled pocono I got surround Daytona I guess Trenton Michigan and Kansas and all these racetrack it's. It's been repaid and I got or run those forehand. And I realized the aspect. You know. A repay and and let the bummer but you know there's them again. And then now in the sport like that I really shutting naturally all Daytona and I'm like dude that was the most fun I've ever at. 2000. In allegedly ran. The news Alex Bentley cars. On in Daytona and an outside ways than you know not wide open and in that kind of unheard of sir. A super speedway but you really had to grab it fun. Let you know at the same time I realized that you know these racetracks are followed apart. You know a ticket and drought and rain and there's a lot of issues that come into your cell you know I'd get fully understand haven't read say that I just the bomber when they have to. I let's talk about the chili bowl that's kind of the reason why hagee on going into the chilly bowl this year you're driving for team and Claussen Marshall racing that. I know is near and dear to your heart and for a little insight for our listeners. This is a team that put together by a late in your late Brian cost spotter Tim who was just a tremendous guy and a and a great racer he. He merger with co owner Richard Marshall to form a team. You guys have a stack lineup and last night just as saying Golombek who many in the midget and sprint car world think highly of yeah Donny shots he might be the best sprint car driver ever in your world of outlaws champion this year. Yet Jason Johnson who won in Knoxville nationals and of course Tyler Courtney some Colmes sunshine. Junior can upper 55 winner had a coin this year. Bryant always had this dream team in mind and in his father Tim is really gonna. Above and beyond this year following and Bryant's footsteps with that race team does that give you extra motivation going into this year knowing that this is what Brian would want. Spread out you know alleged call in and you know extra hours that their like. What about the way it. We've got to do. You know. Brian. Yeah I've been able. Put all of us together. You know and intent that I. Brian dad talk about it a lot. You know Brian did a lot for yet to be great friends that you know myself and I agree sent him and you know he's surrounded himself and an everybody else with great people and you know that something that. You know continue to live line. You know through that street scenes and it's having great people around in so it's it's signed the moderates and you and enjoy beer. And you know like like you said Brian can always had like Elena had a stream came in and can't name dot bunch of people and you know it's changed your out years Everett Pam Bryant talked about it but. You know I think we have a really get symbol like you said Tim Richard Lugar are doing a great job. You know put all the pieces together. Pretty Hayward from B and its contractors that huge supporter wrote of the team in that would know Ford which has a partner in the desperate arching an ordeal and in the big supporter and they decided well. You know it's just they were already. To ultra. We got a few things they were still going to announce the league it's it's also a bit. You know it's been pretty excited about intense than engines Brian mr. Had been working on. Throughout. This can winner time break and notably of course that come out. That's Ricky stone house junior as our Tyler Burnett spoke with him earlier today. Coming up on NASCAR live Jack Peru will join us for a page from the past and later Kyle Larson joins us. Exactly came to NASCAR after dominating the ASA series when he three consecutive championships. Just 21 years old and looking more like he was fifteen. Martin's arrival was a much ballyhooed one right be item is Mark Martin who will be candidate for rookie of the year next year business trip the final Horry he's allowed to Martins didn't seem defeated. This is at the height of the Darrell Waltrip kale Yarborough Bobby Allison here and Dennis the Menace as he was nicknamed enjoyed little success in fact. Kyle Larson just back from Australia you went sprint car racing there as soon as you step out of the the Sprint Cup car. Transitioning out a monster energy series you go racing down under that had to be just a logistical challenge from the from all the flying and get it from one place to another but I know you said you were looking for to check it out Sydney and see what that was all about how the trip. I editor with the dead around Newt surprisingly you know ended a great job client. In any news. Further whatever it was fourteen hour flight to Australia the primarily Laker three or four hours than it. And then you know you had and get great and there are at destiny QA. Ariane third the first dining in was really bad second nine. And then had a third higher and higher. In the in the rained out the final night. And they had a coherent today. Do we we've stayed in parent maps where the racetrack was let. Ireland is unique. New Year's Eve. What tip on that beach and then you kind of crude around the city for a little while and then headed out before the fireworks is that each traffic rather active as you know thirty minute drivers at the airport. Are not here but to the hotel. There's a good time though and enjoyment now than. You know kind of a last minute ended up going to New Zealand China and missionaries there western springs and ended up getting rained out shortly after qualifying so. That's not that I was still under its you know there. And says. You know did little trip and an hour. Back in the states and it is crucial. Can you just walk around over there without people want hey that's Kyle Larson a come up one autograph elected to be here. Yeah. Yes and I mean I don't mind didn't recognize. Cooler but the while and actually. Accented meant to this. Didn't you do and spreading are recognized recognize there without. Not tackle that. Little Iraq. Trip pressure. Getting back into the swing of things now you had a bunt to production you've got a new sponsor coming on board with pictures and everything are you getting adjusted back to eastern time now. Hey hey yeah. I was surprised. You know the first and I got home yeah home Wednesday at like 4:30 PM end. United completed probably. 10 PM or so. And what did that and Ellen look at that 1 morning in that's about an hour and then. You know that at but the other night. An and even last Iranians and the same thing put to bed. About denying. He is that it 130 and they are with him for about now Arnold Coakley then yes but the until about 930 so. I'm been dead normally whenever I'm on this New Zealand or Australia it's it's straddle the economy on. Seemed to be you know candidate. Cool let's talk a little bit about behind the wheel to cars in the chase last year you and Jamie McMurray from Ganassi. And then the monster got after both of you would Dover does that leave you with any kind of a bad taste in your mouth or make you even more eager give you more motivation for how close you are. Night ticket. To both our cars and chase obviously at this morning. The late. You know both of our our do overs went there in the chase. But you know able we've still there and perform well enough to athlete and you're not adding any issues and Eric Burke armada duke. Make it to the next or make it up after the next round after Dover. They know Li Li. The forty teaching me since had a year's strong. You ran third at Phoenix and then. You all apple in their homestead so was would get this this year like that hopefully can start the year off well you know that's that's been righted. They've barely struggle that and the team. And my captors nearly never. Whenever start ears off and then now we and a new working extremely hard and to gain points Acton and then it and it comes in in that come renowned Indian Alaska where races or that that shaped cut off so. Plea and start the year off you know quote Hillary end in the area should have at all season. Speaking of momentum and good start your last two races at Daytona seventh and sixth. The last two races their last three races of restrictor plate races you've had top ten finishes other than the one problem at Talladega. What's clicking with you guys that super speedway is now. Obviously. You act like you know in your rookie year even a pop or. It's hard new. The party of people that work with you to receive raising and not yet and earn their trust really. And in the end receivers delays. You got a good karma yacht that you know friends out there network which isn't. I think that's right billion has been so successful at benefit of these everybody in the field a lot to follow him. Where it's it's not the case when your when you're young so master felt like more people were scrutiny. And that really you can help or finish out spoke. Yeah hopefully can go to you know would speed week in February and and have another solid ground there and agnostic gets dark. And then after that you'll be right back into another new rules package even lower downforce. What a sixteen ended with a lot of you guys a lot of teams getting a chunk of that downforce back that you lost at the beginning of last year. You expected to be a similar path this year and until folks what's different about this particular package. Yeah I know I'm I'm excited about that blur downpours at the very similar package to only one blip at Michigan and you're ran well to do Alter aid. And in both next generation is and I think. Where to rerun again Darlington used to like that it better and ideally you we've always been in the lower downforce and uncheck accurate anything to do good job. It didn't. Mueller is in new rules change come out and there it seemed to get you know quick earned you know good. A rap about it and where. In particular and a couple more weeks so I'm excited about it and you know lower downforce mean the cars more and gotten. In the dryer and it comes a little more in the play which is always nice so. Well seeing you know it's. At that saying on the off season a lot of loans banks make gains in the it's it's it's always hard to see where you stack up until he starts. A lot of folks talking about data Atlanta repay the news came out a couple of days ago they're gonna redo the surfers they're basically put it down on top of the olden. The dimensions in banking or stay the same Carl Edwards described Atlanta the other day is a big dirt track race and I know. That's got to put a smile on your face but. Most of the drivers are herders seem mentioned it have said oh no we were hoping this would never happen Allah used. Yeah you know I don't I don't know I mean. In at school let. It's you know we're announcing and let the almost two wore out in mean personally you know it's especially at the cut rate he can't. Tehran a top. Hardly at all in the killing your tires up there it's got a lot less grip. Up top. It seemed like everybody and his migrate to the bottom. Your right around it and the paint they're on the bottom which is. It's fun because as super technical or on the bottom. But I mean it's hard to pass. Atlanta just because it's gotten so wore out. That the group is. You're on the bottom like you said because the top. As such a long way around ending eats tires at bats so. And and I'm on the fence about you know. I'm not like he's hugest fan of Atlanta. Has and I don't like fingers fly an aspect. Pinion you read is that things are all right take. You know 567. Years before it gets breezy again and so. But you never know it will be on off and six out. So you come home from Australia do much of production work and pictures take a deep breath and then head right back off to the chili bowl. Christopher bell told us it's his favorite race in the world refused and house said it would be his biggest ever win to get a trophy there your pal Rico a brew won last year. Other people and our group into what was going on. To return. Retool some stuff. But. Overall I think it's going well they're really good children who were put. Manufacturing side. You know it's hurt it's different because we've we've we've had such a long history of the relationship would Hendrick Motorsports. First pieces we built them for them to do so pros and furious you really sometimes don't realize though things that they do for each other. For us you know we didn't have all those capabilities we had to go out. Start those departments has that had that in. So how so that's been the the the biggest thing from chassis in some more manufacturing capabilities. But. It's all of the talk going okay were were. I don't know where we wanna be at this point. So no weapons there were world we're thrashing workers artists we can't we're trying to works more. And steady rather. You have do a lot of things over I think. Think in the Phoenix test his one car loaded get hot here will be you know just being here really from him mcsame. Some time Phoenix tested to be referred to will be with Kevin Harvick team his crew chief Rodney Childers says getting back to the racetrack. Will be extremely important essay HR. Let it be big you know I think the biggest thing is to see where we expect everybody else. He'd go and so are you won't let. And Kennedy together racetrack. See if you have any speed power he needs help so. Feel good about. And engineers. My guys did a good job on the setup things we've got. So then there are some good scores out there are able to get it on there were in the race and involved so. Hopefully in the go out there and learn a few things. Did that relationship going with the engine to house them. And I'd get comfortable with that and make sure that everything Gaza lighting candles. Room. From the cars employing you know it they're just looking you'd better and more work on the more bodies were hanging the better lobbyists have. That's just we'll take commented Stefano did you. Kurt Busch's crew chief Tony Gibson explained what it takes to switch from a ship full force. Well it is very difficult because you know ice and everything we had was was modeled around. You know general Hanks self. You the wire artist is always system the cooling system to radiators or coolers. Or tanks. All those things are different the way that a Ford Motor hits initiating. That that the chest he doesn't know what motorists any other than a mile it's common unfortunately. You killed over the war culture in different places the car steers us in different places on and off Ford so. Bremer and compensate and retrofit our chassis is. To accept the forty engines so that's a process itself plus building brand new chassis. Com anybody it's the parts and pieces that they give us you know that. Just the parts and pieces that we have to change to two from a Chevy to a Ford is one thing. And then the other NASCAR they still haven't you do on top of that.
