Watch James Hetfield & Kirk Hammett Play The National Anthem For Annual "Metallica Night" At AT&T Stadium

August 8, 2017

Hailing from the Bay area, the guys from Metallica have remained diehard SF Giants fans through and through. Which is why every year, they celebrate "Metallica Night" at AT&T Stadium in San Francisco, CA by taking to the field and playing the National Anthem.

Decked out and surrounded in SF Giants gear, James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett stood near the pitcher's mound for a special electric guitar-only rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner," much to the cheers of everyone in attendence in the stands.

But the fun didn't stop there. Kirk Hammett later performed his rendition of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" on his guitar, bassist Robert Trujillo got to start the game by yelling "Play Ball!", and drummer Lars Ulrich got to throw out the first pitch!

Check out some of the best moments from "Metallica Night" below!
