Most of us have heard Alice In Chains' hit song "Rooster". For those who did not know, the song was written by guitarist Jerry Cantrell about his father Jerry Cantrell Sr, a vietnam war veteran.

Earlier this month at the band's show at the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK, Jerry Cantrell introduced his father to the excited crowd.

"I'm going to play this next song for my pop. Want to come up and say hi Dad?" said Cantrell Jr. "Jerry Cantrell, ladies and gentlemen."

Cantrell Sr. came up on stage and said, "Oh dang, how you doing? They got a lot of people out there, and a lot of cold beer." He added, "I remember last year I rode my horse over here. This year, I rode a big, band, Harley." The crowd cheered as he departed saying "Let's hear it for Alice in Chains!"
