Stone Sour Kidnaps Superfan To Debut New 'Hydrograd' Album

March 5, 2017

Bert is just an ordinary guy that works in a bakery that is also a huge Stone Sour fan. When he thought that he would just be getting some signed memorabilia from the band, little did he know that Corey Taylor and company were fully intent on kidnapping him from work to give him a first-hand preview of their new album, Hydrograd.

Corey Taylor said to BBC of the new album, “Not only are the songs good but the energy is incredible, because it has that live vibe. This is not beat detected, Auto-Tuned, pitch-corrected — nothing. It is so badass, it’s not even funny.”

He expanded on his comments, saying, “This album is great because it’s got elements of everything. It’s got the heavy energy of the ’80s, there’s punk moments, there’s hard rock moments, all the great amalgam of music. There’s even jazz and hip-hop moments. It’s really, really cool. It’s probably the coolest album I’ve made since the first Slipknot album, let’s put it that way. It’s dope, dude. And, hey, I feel very confident making that statement, because it’s so good.”

In the meantime, watch the guys from Stone Sour give one superfan a moment he'll definitely never forget!
