Do you think you would be happy doing your job for over 40 years?  I think it would be fair to say most people would probably say no. The reality of it is that most people’s source of income is not their passion, their true love. Well for one man, a romance with music became a career of over four decades, and shows no signs of stopping.

BRIAN TATLER of the British heavy metal band DIAMOND HEAD has had a long career in music. So long in fact, that many metal bands now weren’t even born when Tatler’s professional music career first started!  Now yes that might sound like a “When we were kids…” rant but can you imagine some of these metal bands out there now lasting almost a half century? Most can’t even last long enough for two albums!  Well after 8 studio albums, 5 live studio albums, 10 singles/EP’s, and 12 compilation albums, you can see Diamond Head has been determined to be in it for the long haul.

I recently had the chance to talk with Brian Tatler about all things music.  Take a listen to our chat about him giving up working on cars for his love of music, Metallica covering a few Diamond Head classics, Greta Van Fleet emulating Led Zeppelin, the new album ‘The Coffin Train,’and how Brian is not looking to get off at the last station anytime soon!
