The Prophets Of Rage Plan On Crashing The Republican National Convention

June 3, 2016

The Prophets Of Rage, a supergroup (through the prefer not to be called one) consisting of members of Rage Against The MachinePublic Enemy and Cypress Hill have only one goal in mind: Make America Rage Again.

According to Bloomberg Politics, the Prophets Of Rage intend on appearing outside on the streets of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, OH in July 2016. "That will be a perfect place for a ban like Prophets of Rage to cause a ruckus, and we will be there on the streets, in the field," says guitarist Tom Morello. "We have a venue and there may be venues that will be spontaneous venues, it's hard to say. This is the kind of thing you don't broadcast to the local authorities prior to arrival."

As far as the band crashing the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia in July as well, Morello says, "Anything's possible."

"One of the things that has irked me greatly is how the media has talked about both the Trump campaign and the Sanders campaign as both of them are 'raging against the machine.'" says Morello. "Well we're going to set the record straight once and for all what it really means to 'rage against the machine.'"

"The two-party system has been over for a long time," says Chuck D of Public Enemy. When asked if he sees any difference between the two parties, "Not really. I never have."
