The World's Most Dangerous Band Leader, Paul Shaffer, Has A New Show On AXS TV And It Looks Amazing!

As far as music goes, is there anything Paul Shaffer hasn't done yet? 

He famously led David Letterman's World's Most Dangerous Band for over three decades.  

He has been the musical director for all of the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame performances(check out Mistress Carrie's podcast for more info on that)

He was an original member of the Saturday Night Live Band which also led to him being musical director for The Blues Brothers with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd

He was the musical director for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta

Most importantly, he played Polymer Records A&R man Martie Fufkin in the Rockumentary, "This Is Spinal Tap"

He has also played on recording by BB King, Robert Plant, Warren Zevon, Diana Ross, Grand Funk Railroad, Chicago, Donald Fagen, Carl Perkins, Blues Traveler, George Clinton, Cher, Cyndi Lauper, Ronnie Wood, among many, many others.

Now, he will premier a new television adventure this Sunday night at 8 pm on AXS TV, "Paul Shaffer Plus One", where he speaks to several music and entertainment legends about their work as well as plays a few live with them. The line up for the first season includes Joe Walsh, Billy Gibbons(ZZ Top), Sammy Hagar, and Graham Nash.  In the interview below we also talk about how he wrangles musicians for the big shows, what Buddy Guy told him a "Mojo Hand" was, and if Bill Murray will reprise his SNL lounge singer role with him any time soon.
