Mick Jagger Becomes A Father For The Eighth Time

December 8, 2016

At the age of 73, Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger welcomed the birth of his son with ballerina girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick.

Though this is Jagger's first child with Hamrick, he is also the father to seven other children ranging from 46 to 17 years old, as well as five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

In a statement released by the couple, "Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger's son was born today in New York and they are both delighted. Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time."

This is the second time in 2016 the Rolling Stones have welcomed new "pebbles." Back in May, guitarist Ron Wood and his wife, theater producer Sally Wood, welcomed twins into the world. Jagger was also one of the first people to meet the twins. "Mick popped in on the third day," Wood said. "He couldn't wait to see them, I put one in each arm and took a photo."
