Metallica Fans Can Preview Upcoming James Hetfield Biography

March 22, 2017

As the co-founder of one of the biggest bands in the world, James Hetfield has been playing, recording and touring with Metallica for the last thirty years. Soon fans will be able to read all about the frontman's life story in the upcoming book "So Let It Be Written: The Biography Of Metallica's James Hetfield."

The book is written by Mark Eglington who sat down in one-on-one interviews with Metallica, as well as many of their musical colleagues like Chuck Billy (Testament), Charlie Benante (Anthrax), Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains), Rex Brown (Pantera) and many more, each detailing their own personal, first-hand experiences with Hetfield. The book also goes into some of Hetfield's darker days, including coping with his parents' divorce as a child, his mother's unexpected death, and dealing with alcoholism. In the forward of the book, Chuck Billy writes, "Hopefully this book will rekindle certain special memories about one of metal's most charismatic and important individuals."

Eglington is also the author of other rock/metal books including "Official Truth, 101 Proof: The Inside Story Of Pantera" and his first book, "James Hetfield: The Wolf At Metallica's Door."
