Dry your tears cinephiles. Do not weep for the final time Rocky Balboa will grace the silver screen. Rejoice for the fact that he spawned a knockout film franchise that been around for over 40 years!

With a haymaker opening weekend, Creed 2 gave the box office a black eye after raking in $55 million. The highest any live-action film has ever earned Thanksgiving weekend. Now, Stallone breaks the news to all of the Rockyholics out there that this will probably be the last time he'll ever play the role of Rocky Balboa.

According to a post on his Instagram, "I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide World for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years. It’s been my Ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character. Though it breaks my heart, Sadly all things must pass... and end. I love you Kind and generous people , and The most wonderful thing of all , is that ROCKY will never die because he lives on in you ...."

I am reposting this because there was a technical difficulty. I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide World for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years. It’s been my Ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character. Though it breaks my heart, Sadly all things must pass... and end. I love you Kind and generous people , and The most wonderful thing of all , is that ROCKY will never die because he lives on in you ....

Now that's he's handing the reigns over to the very talented and walking lady-boner Michael B. Jordan, Stallone is keeping himself busy with the dude-tastic Rambo 5 with a possible western approach.

But just because he's retiring the Rocky character doesn't mean that he's going to stop working out like him either! Just watch this 72-year-old man make us all feel inadequate by doing 100-pound weighted pull-ups!

Another easy workout! You’re only as old as you and your joints feel!LOL
