Linkin Park Overtakes David Bowie's Record For Most Songs On The Billboard Rock Chart

August 3, 2017

After his death in January 2016, David Bowie's music was breaking all kinds of records. He broke Adele's video streaming record on VEVO, and 21 of his songs secured a spot on the Billboard Hot Rock Song charts.

But in the wake of Chester Bennington's death in July 2017, Linkin Park's music catalogue has since broken Bowie's record on the Billboard charts with 23 songs, with "Numb" being their top hit reaching the No. 1 spot and seven of their top 10 hits stemming from Hybrid Theory. Linkin Park has also become the first band to have songs secure the No. 1, 2 and 3 spots on the chart.
