Kid Rock Releases Official Merch For Senate Run; Politicians React

July 19, 2017

Although he hasn't submitted the official paperwork yet, it appears that Kid Rock is all in for his run for Senator for the state of Michigan. Available on his website are t-shirts, hats, bumper stickers and lawn signs with the phrase "Kid Rock for Senate." Also featured on the website are slogans spinning off of some of Kid Rock's popular songs like "You've never met a politician quite like me," and "Get in the Senate and try to help someone."

Although many believe that Kid Rock's announcement to run for Senate is all part of a marketing ploy to push ticket and record sales, on top of the recent release of two singles "Po-Dunk" and "The Greatest Show On Earth", the musician maintains that his run for senate is not a hoax

His would-be opponent, Democrat Debbie Stabenow, tweeted of Kid Rock's decision to run, "I concede he's better at playing guitar and I'll keep doing what I do best: fighting for Michigan." Rock responded to Stabenow's comments on his website, saying "I concede she is better at playing politics than I am so I'll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS and letting politicians like her know that We the People are sick and tired of their bulls**t!"

Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain weighed in on Kid Rock's run for senate with TMZ, saying, "It's a joke." He went on to add, "People may criticize politicians, but they still are gonna be serious about who they vote for." Check out his full reaction below!
