Happy Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals Eve everyone!

A lot of people have been worried about the Boston Bruins having too much time off in-between playoffs series. Maybe they were too, and that's why they had a scrimmage at the Garden in front of a sellout crowd. But what many people keep forgetting is that the St. Louis Blues have also had a long break and recovery time. When the puck drops for Game 1, the Blues will have had 6 days off and the Bruins will have had 10 days off. So will the four extra days off be an issue for the Bruins? My co-host on Breaking The Ice, Andrew “Razor” Raycroft, doesn’t think so. Since he was the number one goalie in the NHL for a long time I asked him if the time off in the playoffs takes you out of your groove, as a lot of people are concerned that Tuukka won't be feeling it anymore once the puck drops tomorrow. He thinks this team is a little different than teams in the past and it can only help them in the long run.

Ten days off or no days off, this series will be much tougher on Tuukka Rask than the Hurricanes or Blue Jackets series. This will be more of a matchup like Toronto was for the Bruins given their shooting talent. But with this Boston Bruins team, it shouldn’t be a problem. This Bruins team is very good at observing a team that's giving them issues and then analyzing their strengths and weaknesses before shutting them down.

It’s been a long wait. It’s almost time. Let’s hope we get to celebrate like our friends over in Fenway and Foxboro!
