Flea Pays Tribute To David Bowie With New Tattoo

All people deal with grief differently. Some will keep it to themselves. Others will reach out to others. And sometimes that grief is expressed through art. But if you're Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, you'll happily take it a step further with something a little more permanent.

First, Flea took to his Facebook page to put his thoughts on Bowie's passing into words and share them with fans. 


oh no. my hero. bowie. the most beautiful. i love him with everything i am. rock music is over, done. he was the best....

But within only hours after news of David Bowie's death, the bassist decided to get a tattoo of "Bowie" on his upper arm with the signature lightning bolt running down its side, all while appropriately playing Bowie's "Fill Your Head" in the background.




And these children that you spit on as they try to change their worlds.
