Rob Halford Would Perform Tim 'Ripper' Owens-Era Judas Priest Songs

This is some big news for Judas Priest fans!

According to Blabbermouth, in an interview for the January 2020 issue of U.K.'s Metal Hammer the frontman was asked about performing songs from the era when he wasn't a part of the band. Tim "Ripper" Owens was the lead from 1996-2003.

Halford was directly asked if he would ever perform songs from the Tim "Ripper" Owens-era and his answer might surprise you. "Why not?...I'm up for that!" He also highlighted that this music was an important part of the history of Judas Priest, he's never done any of those songs before, and how Tim is a good friend of his. Owens was a part of two albums with the band -- 1997's Jugulator and 2001's Demolition. He was discovered back in 1996 by the drummer of Judas Priest who was handed a video of him performing in the JP cover band British Steel.
