Eagles Of Death Metal's Jesse Hughes Proposes To His Girlfriend Onstage

March 30, 2016

Whenever a band comes back for an encore, they play a few more songs, thank the audience for coming out, and then call it a day. At the Eagles Of Death Metal show in Fremantle, Australia, Jesse Hughes seized the opportunity during their encore to propose to his longtime girlfriend Tuesday Cross.

Cross sometimes gets involved with the band by helping with singing and keyboarding duties. But on this night, she had a much bigger role.

With the roaring and cheering from the crowd, Cross said "yes", only to be spotted on the far side of the stage crying tears of joy while on her phone, reporting the news to relatives.

Interestingly enough, Hughes proposed to Cross two weeks ago according to an Instagram post with the caption, "I asked Tuesday to marry me... she said YES!" But a simple post doesn't quite have the same thrill as it does doing it in front of a live audience.

A devout Christian, Hughes was ordained as a minister by the Universal One Church three years ago and says he takes his faith "very seriously." Hughes has previously said that "divorce isn't a concept to me," but at the same time has said "tight pants are critical to sexy dancing."

Congratulations to the happy couple!
