Duff McKagan Joins Alice In Chains at Spokane Show

July 24, 2015

On July 22nd, Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver made a special guest appearance with grunge rockers Alice In Chains at The Knitting Factory in Spokane, WA to perform two AIC hits: "Nutshell" and "Man In The Box".

Aside from being one of the greatest bassists in rock, McKagan is also an accomplished author, penning two books "How To Be A Man (And Other Illusions)" and "Louder Than Hell". He is also rumored to be the likely author to write Alice In Chains' official biography. "I talked to Sean [Kinney, drummer of AIC]," he said. "We talked at length. Like, 'If you want me to do it, now's the time, 'cause I'm done with this book. I'll have this summer that I can start on it, you guys are working on music, you can put your record out, put the book out...' Like, make it a whole thing. I'm a proponent of that band, I think it's just a victorious story."

Alice In Chains, though has been keeping a low profile, is expected to produce a new album in 2016.
