Tommy Sullivan, one of the four marines tragically killed in Chattanooga, TN may have had one of the greatest farewell parties ever thrown. As Sullivan (or "Tommy" as he was known as) was laid to rest in Springfield, MA, family, friends, and strangers alike came together to remember the legacy that he will be leaving behind, which includes serving two tours of duty in Iraq and earning two Purple Hearts.

His family had his farewell party at Nathan's Bar & Grill, which is co-owned by his brother Joe Sullivan. The place was packed with family, friends, members of the military, police officers, firefighters, and more, all to hold a pint high in the name of Tommy Sullivan, a selfless marine who took on the ultimate sacrifice.

Joining the crowd also included Tommy's favorite band The Dropkick Murphys, who serenaded the pub with some of their hits such as: "Forever," "Rose Tattoo," "The Wild Rover," "Fields of Athenry," and "The Warrior's Code," where they changed the chorus chanting of "Mickey" (after boxer Mickey Ward) to "Tommy", the latest hero of MA.
