Auction Selling Kurt Cobain's Hair

November 2, 2015

It seems that even now, die-hard Kurt Cobain fans still can't get enough of the deceased grunge rocker's paraphernalia. Earlier in February 2015, the Nirvana frontman's old credit card was estimated to have sold somewhere between $7,000 and $9,000 dollars.

Now the latest item from Kurt is a lock of his own hair. According to the listing, Courtney Love commissioned a doll maker to create a doll for their daughter Francis Bean Cobain using some of Kurt's hair. The remaining unused hair is currently up for sale, starting at $4,000.

The green cardigan that Kurt wore during Nirvana's MTV Unplugged special is also on the auction block.

The items are part of the Julien's Live "Icons and Idols 2015: Rock n' Roll" collection, which also includes blouses worn by Heart's Ann Wilson, the fang mold used in Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video, and Elvis Presley's Valium pill bottle.
