Woodstock 50 In Jeopardy Again As Venue Pulls Out

June 10, 2019

With the growing mountain of problems piling up against Woodstock 50, the future doesn't look very bright for the music festival.

According to TMZ, Watkins Glen International, the racetrack that was supposed to serve as the festival's venue in upstate New York, has terminated Woodstock 50's site license. Meaning that Woodstock 50 is now without a home. The vanue says that its contract with the festival was the reason why the permit was pulled.

Dentsu, the company financially backing Woodstock 50, attempted to cancel the festival. However a judge ruled that they did not have the legal authority to do so.

With major money problems stacked against the festival, lead organizer Michael Lang says they had partnered with a new company to financially back Woodstock 50. But with the news that there is now no venue attached to the festival, it appears that Woodstock 50's time has run out.
