"Wayne's World" Reunited To Introduce "Bohemian Rhapsody"

February 25, 2019

Normally the rock community is dismissive of awards shows, given their history of undercutting the genre for the sake of ratings. But in the case of Bohemian Rhapsody at the 2019 Oscars, rock didn't just have a front-row seat, it was one of the biggest contenders of the evening.

But the lifeblood of all rock music is of course its fans, and it was only appropriate that Queen fans Mike Myers and Dana Carvey of Wayne's World, who famously headbanged their way into cinema history to "Bohemian Rhapsody", be the ones to present Bohemian Rhapsody for "Best Picture" at this year's Academy Awards. Best of all, they did it as Wayne and Garth.

"We're not worthy!" shouted Myers. "I think I'm gonna hurl," added Carvey.
