Watch Greta Van Fleet's Wild and Raucous Set on "Saturday Night Live"

January 20, 2019

Well look at this. An actual rock band was booked as Saturday Night Live's musical guest in their first episode of 2019. And it was none other than the breakout youngsters of Greta Van Fleet! It's also an added bonus that the band landed the spot just months after their debut album Anthem of the Peaceful Army dropped.

The fast and energetic "Black Smoke RIsing" was GVF's first song of choice to set the tone for new audiences what kind of performance they are in for. And in classic GVF fashion, they didn't disappoint.

Greta Van Fleet's follow-up song was a soulful live rendition of "You're The One" from Anthem of the Peaceful Army with two of the Kiszka brothers performing on acoustic guitar and organ. The second round of applause from the audience was also expected.
