Adam Jones Teases Possibly New Tool Song

May 2, 2019

Tool is about to crank out a long list of music festival dates for 2019, including Welcome To Rockville this weekend, the Chicago Open Air festival, Firenze Rocks, the Download festival and the Aftershock festival. Leading up to those dates, guitarist Adam Jones posted to his Instagram a short teaser of what could be the guitar portion of a new Tool song.

"Getting ready for Sunday," Jones captioned the clip while jamming away on a special travel guitar with its own built-in speaker with American flag graphics while laying down some very Tool-esque riffs.

This also opens up the possibility that Jones is warming up for the debut of a new Tool song the band may debut live. This comes on the heels of the band changing the artwork on their social media accounts and Maynard James Keenan delivering a brutal April Fool's joke on fans. However, after 13 years since their previous album 10,000 Days, it appears that Tool is expected to drop a new album sometime in the summer of 2019.
