Following Metallica's announcement that they had to cancel some of their dates in Australia and New Zealand so that James Hetfield could enter rehab, fans and artists from all over the world have been giving lots of love and support to the frontman.

Among them is Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi. In a post to his Facebook page, Iommi writes, "My best out to James Hetfield. You’ve done the right thing seeking help - I’m thinking of you my friend and wishing you all the very best on your recovery. Looking forward to seeing you back at your best very soon. Your pal, Tony."

The pair's friendship goes back decades. So far that it was Metallica that inducted Black Sabbath into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe also came out in support of Hetfield, crediting him for getting sober after a long battle with alcoholism.
