Tom Brady Moves On From Their Super Bowl Loss In "Tom vs Time" Episode 6

March 12, 2018

In the epic conclusion to the online series Tom vs. Time, Brady shares what was on his mind before, during, and after Super Bowl 52 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Everything from his thumb injury, to losing Gronkowski against Jacksonville, to their heartbreaking defeat by five points, Brady touches down on every obstacle that stood in their way for a sixth Super Bowl Ring. "It's easy when you look back," says Brady. "But football's the blink on an eye. That's what you've got to live with for the rest of your life."

But despite their loss, Brady saw it as a valuable teaching moment for his children. "I looked to to them and I said, 'This is a great lesson. We don't always win. We try our best, and sometimes it's doesn't go the way we want.' That's probably one of the best moments I've had as a parent."

But as far as dealing with such a big loss, Brady is taking the common route of "Time Heals All Wounds." "The rawness of what happened will go away. We didn't get the outcome we wanted. I gave everything I had, I gave my best effort. We were just a couple plays short."

But now that the season is over and he won't have to worry about football for a while, Brady goes back to his other favorite job: being a dad.
