Steel Panther Reveals Interview of Mötley Crüe "Backstabbing" Vince Neil

October 21, 2019

Steel Panther aren't denying that there has always been some bad blood between them and members of Mötley Crüe with the exception of vocalist Vince Neil, who occasionally would join them onstage.

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx took to his Twitter to label Steel Panthers as "backstabbers" and "a wannabe band" after Steel Panther vocalist Michael Starr made a joke about Neil in an interview, saying that the Vince Neil from the '80s is dead.

Not taking too kindly to Nikki's "backstabbers" comment, Steel Panther dug up an old MTV interview of Mötley Crüe during a period of when Neil was not with the band. In the video, Sixx and Mick Mars can be heard making jokes about the former vocalist's weight after he broke a few ribs from a jet-skiing accident.

Crüe's feud with Steel Panther dates back to 2011 when they were on tour with Def Leppard in Europe. Steel Panther drummer Stix Zadinia believes that the members of Mötley Crüe hates them because they think they were making fun of them directly, which they say was never the intention.
