And here comes the fun police.

Hair metal rockers and the greatest partiers on the planet, Steel Panther, are as talented as they are humorous... very. But unfortunately, not everyone familiar with the band have decided to take action against a guitar effect company for a crudely-named guitar effect promoted by Steel Panther guitarist Satchel.

Guitarist Jessica Fennelly has filed a petition to remove the "Pussy Melter" tone print from TC Electronic. According to the product description, "When we met up with Steel Panther's oh-so-humble guitarist, he had only one condition: that the tone be as wet as the ladies on the front row! With 'Pussy Melter' that’s exactly what you get: a delay tone, which perfectly nails that heavy metal lead tone, whilst simultaneously ensuring that the janitor ain’t going home early! So if glam rock guitar solos and wet floor signs are your idea of a good time, then “Pussy Melter” for Flashback Delay is definitely the TonePrint for you!"

However, Fennelly doesn't see the humor behind the product's description. According to her petition, "I can't imagine why a well-known company such as TC Electronic would feel that it’s ok to use such an offensive, obviously sexist, and outdated marketing technique to sell a product. In addition, why would they choose to support an artist such as Satchel."

It doesn't end there. Based on her outrage, Fennelly comes to the conclusion that this product promotes the following ideas:

"A) The guitar world is dominated by heterosexual males and marketing for guitars/guitar products should be aimed at these males
B) These males will decide to use their musical influence to sexually manipulate heterosexual women fans
C) That the guitar world is excluded from the professional boundaries enforced by society to ensure that no product offends, excludes, or harms a particular group of people."

Canadian band/leading authorities on humor, Braids also showed their support of the peition via their Twitter with the caption, "Pls sign my friends petition to EDIT/REMOVE TC Electronic's disgusting write up for their “pussy melter” guitar effect pedal. As a female guitarist and just a female in general this makes me super disappointed!"

Despite the amount of outrage, this fan's input seemed to summarize Steel Panther's presence in music perfectly.

Following the backlash, some of Steel Panther's fellow rockers have shown support for the band by encouraging others to purchase Satchel's "Pussy Melter" pedal.

Meanwhile, Satchel announced on his Twitter account that he and TC Electronic will work together to come out with a more politically correct version of the "Pussy Melter." "I’m working overtime with TC Electronics to re-release the 'pussy melter' tone print under the less offensive, more politically correct name of the 'Butthole Burner'.  Don’t worry- it will still melt your pussy, ladies."
