When the American Music Awards decided to award the rap group Migos the award for "Favorite Duo/Group for Pop/Rock", it became another example of rock music being pushed to the sidelines, infuriating rock/metal fans, and music fans in general.

Stone Sour/Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor chimed in on social media on the matter, and of course, he didn't hold back. "They know it makes money. But to them it’s dirty money. To them, real rock/metal is: neanderthal, low-brow, common. Too much attitude. They can’t control us. They can’t use us to sell Pepsi. So f**k the industry. They’ll burn soon anyway... they always do."

A fan informed Taylor that he himself is a Grammy winner, to which he responded by saying, "We got one back when there were actual rock/metal bands nominated and winning. But that was only one of two categories they’ve allowed us to have. Now they’ve whittled us down to one category. And nominate bands/acts that have no business in it, sometimes."

Rock/Metal savante Eddie Trunk also called in to Matty & Nick, to discuss the amount of disrespect rock music has received throughout the years and why it has "not being given a seat at the table."
