Slipknot Announces Release Date For 2019 Album

March 4, 2019

As Slipknot fans have been patiently waiting for the band's follow-up to their 2015 album .5: The Gray Chapter, the announcement of the Knotfest Roadshow brings additional news... the release date of their new record.

Coming out August 9th, Slipknot's unnamed record will be available as a digital download for every pair of tickets purchased online for Knotfest 2019. Sharing the stage with Slipknot will include Volbeat, Behemoth and Gojira. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8th.

Frontman Corey Taylor spoke with the Des Moines Register in February 2019 about the new album, describing it as "evil." The band already released their first new song "All Out Life" on Halloween 2018. Although quite heavy, the band says that the song isn't as dark or aggressive as the other songs they are about to put on the new record.
