Rob Halford Joins Phil Campbell's Debut Solo Album on New Song "Straight Up"

October 28, 2019

After playing guitar in Motörhead for 31 years, Phil Campbell has released his debut solo album Old Lions Still Roar on October 25th, and he brought along lots of his friends to sing on each track, including Alice Cooper, Dee Snider, Whitfield Crane, and Nick Oliveri.

But one of the standout tracks on the album is titled "Straight Up", featuring the vocal prowess of fellow 2020 Rock Hall nominee Judas Priest's Rob Halford.

Old Lions Still Roar has been a work of Campbell's that has been in the making for years. According to Campbell, he had been holding on to some of his song ideas for over ten years, while other songs are much newer following the death of Lemmy Kilmister.
