Radiohead's Thom Yorke Thinks He Blew His Chances at Knighthood

October 2, 2019

While many rock stars like Elton John, David Bowie, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have received the honor of being knighted by England's royal family, Radiohead's Thom Yorke believes that thanks to his outspoken nature of the country's current political state, he may have jinxed himself.

During his appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Radiohead frontman admitted that he may have blown any chance he had at knighthood after expressing his views on Brexit. “When our current glorious leader got in, I put in an offensive enough message to, uh... yeah, I’ve got no chance now.”

Yorke also discussed the details of his latest solo album ANIMA, which was released in June 2019.
