The Prodigy Frontman, Keith Flint, Dies at 49

Keith Flint, the lead singer of the British electronic band The Prodigy, has been found dead in his home. His bandmate Liam Howlett wrote on the band's Instagram that Flint had died from an apparent suicide. "The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend. I’m shell shocked, f**kin angry, confused and heart broken." Flint was 49-years-old.

Police reported that Flint was found unresponsive in his home in Essex, England and his next of kin have been informed of his death.

Originally formed by Howlett, Flint joined The Prodigy in 1990 to dominate British rave, dance and electronic music for the decade. Best known for songs like "Smack My Bitch Up," "Breathe," and "Firestarter," they were frequently heard in many major films like The Matrix, Spawn, Hackers, Resident Evil and Fast & Furious 6. The group also earned six No. 1 studio albums in both the UK and the US.
