Pearl Jam Forced To Cancel Concert After Eddie Vedder Loses His Voice

June 19, 2018

It's a real buzzkill for a band to have to cancel a show. It's an even greater disappointment when the reason is a first.

At 9AM on June 19th, 2019, Pearl Jam announced that their concert at the O2 Arena in London, England will have to be rescheduled. Why? Because Eddie Vedder lost his voice.

According to a statement released by the band, "It's the first time ever having to postpone a show for this reason. Ed and the band are gutted thinking of all the folks who have traveled and made plans. Sending their biggest apologies out to everyone and huge gratitude for all for the continued support."

Vedder has been ordered to take a "vocal rest" for a few days in order for his voice to completely heal before any more live shows.

In the midst of their European tour, Vedder is expected to make a full recovery in time for their next concert on Friday, June 22nd in Milan, Italy.
