Pearl Jam Donates $10.8 Million to Fight Homelessness

March 1, 2019

In an effort to combat homelessness, Pearl Jam has raised over $10.8 million through their "Home Shows" initiative.

A portion of the proceeds came from ticket and merchandise sales from the band's Home Show concerts at Safeco Field, though a majority came from donations from fans and philanthropists. The money will then be given to over 100 charitable organizations in the Seattle, WA area.

Approximately $868,189 was raised by the band just through tickets sales from two concerts, and $597,300 was raised through local businesses, restaurants, merch sales and donations.

The money raised will go towards financial assistance, housing, and education.
