1992 was an incredible year for the guys of Extreme. Especially since Brian May, guitarist for Queen, considers them all as "real friends" and praises them for understanding everything that Queen has been about since their conception.

During his visit to the WAAF studio, bassist Pat Badger looks back on that day and still cannot believe that a few guys from the suburbs of Massachusetts would be performing at Wembley Stadiumnto pay tribute to Freddie Mercury. "We were all blown away. We were walking onstage like 'how can this possibly be happening to us?' We were such huge Queen fans, and here we are being asked to do this amazing moment to celebrate Freddie Mercury, who had just passed away."

"All of these legends were there: Roger Daltrey, Robert Plant, David Bowie, Annie Lennox, [Metallica], Elton John, Guns N' Roses, Def Leppard. It was off the hook what a big event, and we were just pinching ourselves, like, "how the hell did we get here?"
