Noel Gallagher Wants to Start a Petition to Break Up The Foo Fighters

August 30, 2019

During the Foo Fighters' set at the Reeding and Leeds festival, frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins switched roles before entering into a cover of "Firestarter" in honor of Keith Flint of The Prodigy. But before they began their cover, Grohl and Hawkins joked onstage about signing a petition to get the members of Oasis back together.

“One of these days we’ll get Oasis back. Let’s sign a petition. Everyone here, okay? How many people wanna see Oasis f**king play a show?”

Of course, Noel Gallagher had to respond. A few days later during his show in San Diego, CA, the guitarist responded to Grohl's "petition" in the most Noel Gallagher way possible. “Any Oasis fans in the house? Fuckin’ love that shit…Is anyone gonna sign the petition Dave Grohl wants to get together to get us back together? I’d like to start a petition to get the Foo Fighters to split up. If that would be at all possible.”

Then during his show in Irvine, CA, Gallagher doubled-down on his response to the Foo Fighters with a tad more vulgarity. "If the f**king drummer from Nirvana wants to get Oasis back together, he can come up onstage and suck my f**king d**k anytime he wants. I hereby start a petition for the Foo Fighters to split up. Anybody's free the f**king sign it."

Meanwhile, Noel's brother Liam Gallagher floated the idea of an Oasis musical on his Twitter account. "Oasis the musical 5 lads from Manchester start a band and take on the world the little 1 who writes the songs turns into a massive c**t sacks everyone except his little brother as he ain’t got the arse splits up the band there’s a story line for ya THE END LG x."
