July 10, 2019

Have you ever wondered what it is like to make so much money that you don't know what to do with it? Then you may want to ask some one of the 100 people on Forbes Highest-Paid Celebrities list.

While many pop culture icons like Taylor Swift, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and LeBron James topped the list, rock giants like Metallica and Guns N' Roses managed to rake in enough cash thanks to their massive stadium tours.

Although both bands were not on the 2018 list, they were able to compete with some of the biggest names in entertainment in 2019. Metallica landed themselves at #30 with a total of $68.5 million, while Guns N' Roses got by at #71 with a total of $44 million.

In a separate list conducted by Pollstar, Metallica ranked high as one of the highest-earning rock acts in North America and Worldwide. Other big-name acts that appeared on the list inclided Disturbed, KISS, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Muse.

Although Guns N' Roses did not make the list, main reason being that they only played a few shows near the end of 2018, their Not In This Lifetime tour is believed to be the second highest-earning tour of all time, with a total of $563 million.
