Marky Ramone & Johny Rotten Get In Heated Argument During 'Punk' Premiere

March 8, 2019

On March 4th, some of the most prominent punk rockers in the world gathered for the Hollywood preimere of the Epix series, Punk

But during a panel discussion that included Henry Rollins of Black Flag, Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses, John Lydon (aka "Johnny Rotten") of the Sex Pistols, Punk producer/fashion designer John Varvatos, Marky Ramone of the Ramones, and Donita Sparks of D7, things quickly went off the rails despite the moderator's best efforts.

In classic punk fashion, Johnny made sure that there would be close no order in a panel of punk rockers about the docu-series Punk.

First Johnny Rotten began to compliment, but mostly bash Henry Rollins and Black Flag, calling them "boring" and "a bunch of suburban rich kids," to which Rollins jokingly says, "We wanted to tear your ears off."

Then when Rotten targeted Marky and the Ramones, the Queens native wasn't having any of it. "If it wasn't for the f**kin' Ramones, you'd be nowhere. You'd be f**kin, doing fish n' chips somewhere." Refusing to be outdone, Rotten tells Marky to "Enjoy your drugs and f**kin' have a happy death."
