Marilyn Manson Abruptly Cancels His Set; Rob Zombie Covers For Him

July 27, 2018

Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie fans have been looking forward to the duo's Twins of Evil: The Second Coming tour for a while, and unfortunately Toronto fans were in for some bad news after it was announced that Marilyn Manson will not be performing on their July 26th date.

"Marilyn Manson will not be performing tonight," a spokesperson said to the crowd. "If you are here solely to see Marilyn Manson, you may get a full refund if you leave now and have your ticket scanned out of the system. Full refunds are available at your point of purchase. Once again, Marilyn Manson will not be performing tonight due to an unforeseen illness."

Manson addressed the issue on his official Twitter account, informing fans upset at the news that refunds for their tickets are available. "If you were in attendance specifically to see Marilyn Manson, your tickets will be available for refund at point of purchase. Rob Zombie will perform as scheduled."

With Manson unable to perform due to an "unforseen illness," Rob Zombie was able to play an extended set with a special treat for fans by belting out his own rendition of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)," which Manson has been known to cover.
