Man Plays "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC on Real Church Bells

November 29, 2018

In Halle an der Salle, Germany lies the Roter Turm (aka the "Red Tower") that is home to the biggest carillion in all of Europe.

In case you didn't know, a carillion is a musical instrument located in the bell tower of a church or municipal building that controls at least 23 bronze bells. Traditionally, carillions are played manually on a large keyboard with stick-like keys, which are also known as "batons."

The carillion at the Red Tower was installed back in 1999 and operates 76 bells.

So what better way to test out this marvel of musical engineering than by playing AC/DC's "Hells Bells" for all of Germany to hear!
