Mötley Crüe, Blink-182 & Iron Maiden Lead The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Fan Poll

October 10, 2019

Since the beginning of the year, over 80,000 fans visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been making their voices heard in a poll set at the museum in Cleveland. Visitors have the option to cast their vote for who they believe should be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and the current leaders are Mötley Crüe, Blink-182 and Iron Maiden.

Although the poll is completely separate of the official fan vote for nominated artists, the rest of the list consists of artists like The Dave Matthews Band, Cher, Styx, Boston and Weezer.

The official list of nominees for the class of 2020 will be announced on October 15th, 2019.

In order to become eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, 25 years must pass since the release of an artist's first album. Some band that will be eligible for induction in 2020 include Weezer, Korn, Oasis, Sleater-Kinney and Wilco. There is also a long list of artists that have been eligible for years, but have never been inducted like Mötley Crüe, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Pantera, Soundgarden, and Rage Against the Machine. Blink-182 won't be eligible for induction until 2020.
