M. Shadows Of Avenged Sevenfold Can Beat Anybody At "Mortal Kombat"

November 3, 2017

M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold is just as vicious on XBOX as he is on the stage.

Touring around the country with one of the biggest bands in the world is most definitely an exciting experience. But there are often times where there is just nothing to do. As part of Rolling Stone's "How I Play" series, M. Shadows shows off some of his gaming systems, including the classic arcade game Mortal Kombat! "I'm the best at Mortal Kombat. No one comes here and beats me. Not even close!"

He also brings around a portable gaming system with him on the road called "Fort Knox", where he often plays games like Call of Duty online to relieve some stress and help pass the day. He even plays with his very own Avenged Sevenfold controller!

He also found gaming as an escape when first dealing with the passing of late drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. "It was something I was able to go do and stay in the house and not have to be outside and deal with people," says Shadows. "But I also found a community online that I was able to escape all of the feelings I was having of losing my best friend. So for a couple of years I'd just play video games with my friends online."

Avenged Sevenfold is so into gaming, they even had their own feature in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Check them out below!
