While Korn & Alice In Chains are co-headlining one of the biggest summer tours, guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer announced that he will be away from the tour for a few days.

According to a post on his Instagram, Munky announced that he will be abscent from the tour to await the birth of his third child. "Since our family is waiting any day now for the birth of our daughter, I won't be performing starting on Tuesday August 6th through Sunday August 11th," Shaffer wrote. "I'll be back in Detroit. I'm going to miss you all very much on those dates."

However, that doesn't mean Korn will be one man short. Munky reveals that guitarist JR Bareis will be filling in for him in his abscence. "You're in great hands with our close friend and brother JR Bareis who is filling in for me...and of course the rest of Kornl who will carry the load. Thank you to all of our fans for your understanding and support!"

JR Bareis is no stranger to Korn. He has previously performed alongside Brian "Head" Welch in his band Love and Death. "Stoked to play some shows with these dudes and I can’t wait to throw these picks at people," Bareis wrote on his Twitter while sharing photos of guitar picks that read "I'm just filling in for Munky."
