Kid Rock Confirms That He Isn't Running For Senate

During his recent appearance on The Howard Stern ShowKid Rock revealed that despite the speeches, the merchandise, the website, he is in fact NOT running for Senate.

Although he announced his "run" back in July 2017, Rock (real name Robert Ritchie) never filled out the proper paperwork to make his run for public office official. Instead he told Stern that he has absolutely zero interest in becoming a politician and that it was all to drum up publicity for his tour and upcoming album.

That's not to say that he wouldn't have had a shot. Poll data showed that if the singer decided to run, he would have a strong possibility of winning the Republican primary, but would most likely lose to current seat-holder Senator Debbie Stabenow

While musicians and politicians like Ted Nugent and Herman Cain saw through Kid Rock's ploy, he did receive support from Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell
